Within our recently established (4 years ago) and rapidly growing office in Belgium we are looking for a QHSE Manager M/F for our office in Zeebrugge.
As a QHSE Manager M/F, you will lead and manage all QHSE related matters, provide expertise the site team, management and to the overall Quality Management System, develop and apply policies and standards to support proper and smooth execution of all QHSE related activities in meeting the specified standards and requirements in line with company policies.
You will assist the site team to ensure that all contractual deliverables are in line with expectations by supporting them with the production and follow up of the deliverables.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
- To support the management in all QHSE related matters.
- To implement, review and follow up on relevant HSE procedures.
- To review and update on changes in legislation related to HSE.
- To support and follow up on the site team in applying QHSE.
- Participate in accident investigation.
- Perform and support safety audits.
- To implement preventive measures and corrective actions for non-conforming products.
- Able to demonstrate implementation, documentation & monitoring experience in the development & application of ISO standards (9001- 14001), AQAP.
- Review, comment and approve the contractors Quality Control Plans.
- Manage project audit program.
- Prepare and implement the project Quality and inspection strategy to cover all project phases.
- The ability to identify and intervene in problem areas.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in External & Internal Quality Audit Program.
- Good analytical skills and experience with quality tools and methodologies
- Ensuring that the verification presentation file is created and updated for verification operations, and that all the elements are in place for presentation to the customer for acceptance.

Responsibilities & Duties
WHAT ABOUT YOU?
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications
You have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the maritime world as a QHSE manager.
You are an organizational multidisciplinary talent with a high degree of autonomy.
You have a good technical knowledge, a passion for administration and working with people.
You are interested to work within the maritime defense industry.
You have strong communication skills and are able to express yourself fluently in Dutch and in English, knowledge of French is a plus.
