Description

As part of the development of its activities, Naval Group Belgium is looking for a Junior Cyber Integrator M/F
As a Junior Cyber Integrator M/F, you will contribute to the integration, testing, and validation of cybersecurity solutions developed within a CyberLab dedicated to R&D, product development, and operational support for naval and defence systems.
This role is ideal for early-career cybersecurity engineers who want to build strong hands-on expertise in integration, validation, and prototyping within complex technical environments.


As part of the Cyber department, you will work in a dynamic environment within the naval industry. Your mission will be to ensure support, maintenance and services, this will include the following activities:


·         Cyber Integration & Configuration
o   Integrate and configure cybersecurity components and solutions
o   Deploy solutions in laboratory, test, and operational-representative environments
o   Configure commercial and internal cybersecurity tools


·         Validation & Testing
o   Execute integration and validation test activities
o   Produce technical documentation and test reports
o   Support qualification reviews and demonstrations


·         R&D, Prototyping & Training Support
o   Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes under senior supervision
o   Support the configuration of cybersecurity training environments and training material preparation
o   Assist in the preparation of attack, defence, and response scenarios for training and demonstrations
o   Participate in technology evaluation and benchmarking
o   Contribute to innovation and EU-funded R&D projects


·         Operational and & Team Support
o   Support customer, partner, and internal demonstrations
o   Document integration procedures and lessons learned
o   Contribute to continuous improvement of CyberLab practices

 

You will have the opportunity to talk to the department manager and learn more about all your assignments during the recruitment interviews.

Responsibilities & Duties

WHAT ABOUT YOU?

 

Higher degree in software engineering, computer science, or telecommunication (or equivalent)


·         Background in cybersecurity, computer science, networks, or related fields


·         Basic understanding of cyber attacks and defensive mechanisms, sufficient to support controlled attack and detection scenarios under supervision


·         Interest in red-team and blue-team activities in an engineering or training context (e.g. simulating attacks, validating detections, supporting exercises)


·         Initial experience or strong interest in system integration and testing


·         Familiarity with virtualisation, containerisation, and IT systems


·         Willingness to learn and work in R&D and high-security environments


·         Good documentation and communication skills


·         Excellent English skills


·         Professional level for French and/or Dutch is mandatory
